This course is only on invitation.

Content

This course will expand on the understanding of space weather and elaborate on the sorts of solar storms and their impact on Earth with a special focus on HF Communication, GNSS and Radiation effects. 

The course exists of 4 parts spread over 4 days:

  1. SWx, solar storms for airforce operations + exercises + questions
  2. Earth environment - physics of the magnetosphere and ionosphere  + exercises + questions
  3. Effects on aviation + exercises + questions
  4. Evaluation: exercices + online test

All participants will receive a digital certificate. 

The course slides will be made available for the participants.

Practical

The course will be digital through the zoom-platform of the Royal Observatory of Belgium. 

Registered participants will receive by email at least 1 day before hand  the link to the zoom-session of the next day.

Audio is necessary, video would be handy.
