In conjunction with the European Space Weather Week conference 2026, E-SWAN Sustainability working group is organising a workshop in Firenze, Italy on Sunday 1 Nov 2026 in the afternoon.
Venue
The workshop will be given in in the Galileo Galilei Institute premises, within the scientific pole of the historical astronomical observatory at Arcetri (https://www.ggi.infn.it). Arcetri is a peripheral area very close to Florence (about 45-minute walk from the city centre and, therefore, from the ESWW2026 conference centre).

14:00-17:00: Climate or Space Fresco
17:30-18:30: Discussion: how to move between academia and industry, including a focus on how sustainability aspects are addressed in both communities
Eligibility and Application
All ESWW2026 participants may register to the workshop, but the number of places is limited.

Participation to the workshop is free. Registration opens on 8 June 2026 and closes on 1 October 2026, or when the maximum number of participants is reached.
