Description

The Solar Physics and Space Weather department opens its doors once a month ! From hand-made sunspot drawings to the closest-ever images of the solar corona, you will travel throughout its 200 years of history.

When?

Once a month, in French, Dutch or English. The tour will take around 1h30min.


Through this webpage you can register for the visit on Wednesday July 8 at 14h in English.

Where?

Meeting point: main entrance of the Observatory (Avenue circulaire 3, 1180 Brussels)

Be on time! All visitors will be collected as a group at the gate at 14h. It is not possible to join the tour after the start.

For whom? 

Anyone is welcome, but the explanations are not adapted to small children.

Unfortunately, a large part of the  historical site is not accessible to persons with reduced mobility. There are many stairs to climb to the solar dome, for example.

The visits are free of charge, but the number of participants is limited. Reservation is mandatory. Booking is done through the registration form linked below. Each visitor needs to be registered seperately.
