Description
The solar wind is a stream of particles that emanates continuously from the Sun into space. It carries away the solar magnetic field, which is embedded in it. This continuous stream of plasma and magnetic fields forms the heliosphere, that extends far beyond the solar system planets, and is shaped by the interstellar medium. In this presentation I will give a basic description on the main characteristics of the solar wind, and on the different phenomena and interesting processes that occur in the heliosphere.
