The Belgian Climate Centre is pleased to welcome Prof. Naomi Oreskes on December 13th, for a panel debate co-organized with ULB (SONYA) on the theme 'Think the future - Imagine the present', as a side event to her Honorary Doctorate ceremony that will take place at ULB on December 14th. This panel discussion will focus on forward-looking issues associated with social-ecological challenges, the role of foresight and fiction can play in developing a collective narrative on (un)desirable futures, and the aspiration for a more just and sustainable society, contributing to the emergence of transformational actions in the present. This event will take place at the Royal Observatory of Belgium, in the presence of a limited audience of scientists and experts.
