In this workshop, we will introduce the technical approach, data tools, and expected outcomes of the innovative project (by VITO and the Belgian Climate Centre, in collaboration with Sciensano) to enhance Belgium’s capacity to manage and mitigate the effects of vector-borne diseases by using near real-time climate data.
You will have the opportunity to explore how this service can improve early warning systems, seasonal risk assessments, and targeted preventive measures for vector-borne diseases across Belgium.
