Prior to ESWW2026 - E-SWAN Working group sustainability workshop in Firenze, Italy

In conjunction with the European Space Weather Week conference 2026, E-SWAN Sustainability working group  will organise a workshop in Firenze, Italy on Sunday 1 Nov 2026 afternoon. 

Venue 

The workshop will be given in the ESWW2026 conference venue.

Program 

14:00-17:00: Climate or Space Fresco

17:30-18:30: Discussion: how to move between academia and industry, including a focus on how sustainability aspects are addressed in both communities

All ESWW participants may register to the workshop.

Participant will choose between the climate fresk (https://climatefresk.org/) or the Space Fesco 0https://www.spacefresco.org/). These are collaborative mini-workshops that allow you to understand the systemic aspects of climate change or the environmental impact of space activities. Over a million people have already taken part in these fresks, which are a great way of understanding the inner mechanisms and empowering us to take action. Each workshop involves a team of 6-7 people and lasts 3 hours.
