Proba-3 is an ESA mission consisting of two spacecraft that will manoeuvre precisely in Earth orbit so that one casts a shadow onto the other, creating a solar eclipse. Once in orbit, Proba-3’s two satellites will enable sustained views of the Sun’s faint atmosphere, or corona, that has previously only been visible for brief moments during terrestrial solar eclipses.
The Proba-3 Science Center manages ASPIICS, the main instrument onboard that is designed to observe the corona, and is located at the heart of the Space Pole.
We invite you to watch the launch with us and celebrate the start of another exciting space journey!
Places are limited due to the room capacity. Please register below if you would like to attend.

We offer the opportunity of guided tours for the members of the press. The aim is to get acquainted with the scientific and operational activities of the STCE and discover how the new Proba-3 mission will enrich these.
Interview opportunities will be foreseen with experts that can explain the details of the Proba-3 mission in Dutch, French and English.
Press is welcome before and after the launch viewing party for interviewing and tours (between 9h-11h and 13h30-14h). At the time of launch we will all gather to watch the launch and to cheer Proba-3 on.
Interviews after 14h and before the launch date are possible on request.
Registration for members of the press is encouraged, but not required.
Colleagues, friends and invitees are welcome to join us for the launch party in the ROB Meridian room from 11h onwards.
