Scientific Programme

The workshop will take place as an online meeting via MS Teams and consists of two half-day sessions (stratosphere and troposphere). The session on the troposphere will take place in the morning (European time), and the session on the stratosphere will take place in the afternoon (European time).

  • Tropospheric ozone

    This session will be organised Tuesday 10 November 2026, 7:00-11:00 UTC.

    • Keynote Dr. Takashi Sekiya (JAMSTEC, Japan) : Tropospheric ozone reanalysis: satellite assimilation advances and multi-reanalysis evaluation.
    • Keynote Dr. Alex Archibald (U Cambridge, UK) : Current challenges in modelling tropospheric ozone.
    • Overview of tropospheric ozone Climate Data Records by ESA CCI
    • Oral presentations by user community
    • Discussion of user needs and requirements
  • Stratospheric (and total) ozone

    This session will be organised Wednesday 11 November 2026, 15:00-19:00 UTC.

    • Keynote Dr. Krzysztof Wargan (NASA-GSFC & SSAI, USA) : Polar ozone in the 2026 WMO/UNEP Assessment.
    • Keynote Dr. Jessica Neu (NASA-JPL, USA) : What satellite measurements reveal about past, present, and future ozone changes.
    • Overview of stratospheric and total ozone Climate Data Records by ESA CCI
    • Oral presentations by user community
    • Discussion of user needs and requirements
