Travel Grant Programme

We are pleased to announce a travel grant programme for the 12th Atmospheric Limb Workshop! This programme seeks to improve accessibility to the workshop for members of the international scientific community who are 1) students, or 2) participants from lower-income countries.

The travel grants are generously funded by our esteemed partners of ALTIUS:

Spacebel, silver sponsor, space systems and software engineering company located in Belgium;

ESA, gold sponsor, the European Space Agency, Earth Observation Programme Directorate.

The application period for the travel grant programme closed on March 20.

Travel grant levels

Grants will be offered in two amounts: 1500 EUR for international participants, and 750 EUR for participants within Europe.

How to apply

Please send your CV and a motivation letter to limb2023@aeronomie.be explaining why you are interested in attending the workshop. Please state for which travel grant level you are applying. Preference will be given to attendees who are primary authors on a submitted abstract.

Important information

The travel grants are intended to offset the costs of travel, not fully cover a participant's attendance. Travel grant recipients are still required to register for the workshop and pay the registration fee. Travel grants will be paid as a reimbursement after the workshop; travel receipts will be required in order to issue reimbursement to the recipients.
