  • PRECIP-PREDICT: Development of innovative dynamical approaches for short-term PRECIPitation PREDICTion based on long-term radar datasets, funded by BELSPO, partners: RMI, VUB
  • EXPRIMA: Probabilistic nowcasting and forecasting of extreme precipitation for impact-based warning systems. BELSPO-funded FED-tWIN position between RMI and KU Leuven
  • Extreme rainfall and flash floods within the RMI + SPW-MI cooperation agreement
  • WAITER: AI-driven water assistant, led by Sumaqua and funded by province of Vlaams-Brabant

Their common goal is to improve and integrate weather forecasts with impact-based warning systems for extreme precipitation and floods.

We invite and welcome associated stakeholders and national and international experts to strengthen our cooperation and give feedback on our products related to precipitation observation, forecasts and warnings.
