Description

Due to the amazing worldwide success of the Planeterrella experiment developed by Jean Lilensten, our research group has invested a few years in constructing and exposing this fascinating experiment for both students and the general public. Presentations both onsite, at the Institute of Space Science in Romania, and offsite, at different locations in the country have been performed. Our team has designed a portable version of the Planeterrella experiment to show the solar-terrestrial interaction to the general public at different events.
We now present part of this scientists-for-the-public work and future endeavours for the Planeterrella at the Institute of Space Science and how our studies of space plasmas and the outreach activities come together in an experimental showcase.
