Before departure :
Register and pre-pay the PCR test (to be perfomed on arrival at Cotonou airport) : https://centresurveillancesanitaire.bj/ Payment by VISA or Mastercard possible. You get a QR-code to show at Cotonou airport and a receipt. The current price is 25.000 XOF / transaction cost
On arrival at Cotonou airport, first thing when you come out of the plane : you will be brought to a hall where the PCR tests are performed. After that you will be brought to the airport arrivals, as usaual.
You can get the results within 72 hours on the web site https://centresurveillancesanitaire.bj/ , using the code received when you registered and paid for the test and your invoice number.
People who are positive but without any symptom must stay « at home » .
People who are positive and have symptoms or withcomorbidities should report to a covid-19 handling center.
Precautions in Benin :
Benin has an informational web site on Covid19 : https://www.gouv.bj/coronavirus/ .
Amont the measures, please note that wearing a mask is madatory during working sessions and that a security distance of 1 m must at all times be respected during these working sessions. These rules apply to all events of the conference.
Besides, certficates of vaccination o recovery or negative testing will be controlled on arrioval of all participants to the conference.
Departure from Benin :
At most 72hs before departure, you must again pass a PCR test , this time in the right wing of the
Palais des Congrès . You should have reserved and paid it on line (again a little more that 25.000 F CFA), on the site https://centresurveillancesanitaire.bj/ . The results will also be available on line about 48 hours later
It is also possible to be tested in the « VIP COVID centre », near Nobila hotel, close to the airport in order to get the result faster (usually 12 to 24h), but it is more expensive. Travellers who are found positive are not allowed to leave Benin and must stay isolated in a place of their choice. They must pass two new tests after 10 and 12 days. If they are both negative, the traveller will be allowed to leave Benin .
Welcome at the airport
If you send us your flight number, the day and time of your arrival, as well as the name of your hotel to logistics@se4a.africa , we will wait for you at Cotonou airport and drive to your hotel. Indicate also in this mail your departure flight number and the planned day and time of take-off .
